![]() As a another poster pointed out, you could also set PSE as your external editor as well. I set it as the external editor for Aperture. If you are not familiar with Pixelmator it functions very much like PSE, provides layer based editing, quick masks, a variety of selection tools, editing tools and a variety of special effects filters. In those rare instances where I want/need layered-based editing or special effects I now use Pixelmator. ![]() The most recent release of PSE9 may be better. And I think that is basically what it was. ![]() It felt like a Windows application bolted onto MacOS. I had been a loyal PSE user on Windows since it's first release and actually stated using Photoshop 1.0 on a Mac too many years ago when it was distributed on a set of 3 1/2" floppies.Īfter using the Mac PSE8 (trial) version for a couple of days and the accompanying Adobe Bridge application it just felt so "un-Mac" like and did not seem to integrate into the overall Mac environment as nicely as Aperture. I moved from Windows to a MacBook this past January. This is especially true if you are using RAW files. While not perfect, Aperture 3 is a brilliant application. ![]()
